Golden Hemp Milk Latte
We've all heard our Moms tell us that warm liquids do wonders for a sore throat. Add the antibacterial properties of honey and turmeric to the mix and you've got a cold-fighting potion in a jiff! We took it up a notch and added a dash of cinnamon for its antioxidants and curative goodness.
This golden hemp milk latte is our favorite go-to drink when we're down with a scratchy throat, an oncoming cold or just want a nice healthy cup to curl up with. Hot frothy hemp milk forms the perfect non-dairy base for this latte and zests it up with the good Omega 3 & 6 fats, all 10 essential amino acids, calcium and protein to make it a true health tonic.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Unsweetened Tempt Hemp milk
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Generous pinch of ground black pepper
- Sprinkle of nutmeg
Directions
- PASTE - Make a spice paste by mixing all the spices and the honey or maple syrup in a small bowl and mixing thoroughly.
- HEAT - Heat Tempt Hemp Unsweetened Original Hemp Milk on medium, stirring frequently. Add honey paste to the hemp milk & continue stirring. Do not boil, and keep constant watch over your pot, hemp milk is prone to boiling over. Simmer & stir 3-5 minutes.
- POUR - Pour into mug & sprinkle with nutmeg. You're all set!
